The Aim of the Game
The aim is to score points by catching the frisbee in the opposing team’s end zone.
Teams
Two teams compete against each other. Each team usually has seven players on the field at one time.
Movement
You cannot run while holding the disc. Once you catch it, you must stop and pass it to a teammate.
Passing
The disc is moved by throwing it between teammates. You can throw in any direction.
Defense
The opposing team tries to stop you from scoring by blocking passes or intercepting the disc.
Scoring
A point is scored when a player catches the disc inside the opposing team’s end zone.
Spirit of the Game
Ultimate Frisbee is self-refereed. Players are responsible for calling their own fouls and resolving disputes fairly.
Basic Strategy Tips
Move into space to get open for a pass.
Communicate clearly with your teammates.
Use short, accurate throws when starting out.
Stay aware of defenders and passing options.
